Coronavirus (Covid-19) In Home Precaution Instructions for Parents.

Guidelines from Central for Disease Control (CDC) tells us the population at higher risk of getting very sick from the coronavirus include, the people who have underlying medical conditions. This category fits most of the clients we care for in our agency. Therefore, in order to protect our clients from getting sick at home these recommendations are very necessary to be followed:

  1. Wash your hands properly (scrub your hands for 20 seconds) before and after touching the client
  2. Minimize unnecessary contact with client, include kissing and touching.
  3. Minimize the number of people who come in contact with client, including relative and siblings
  4. If you feel sick with fever, coughing, vomiting, call your doctor and inform him/her that you have a child with an underlying medical condition at home.
  5. If client shows symptoms like fever, running nose, coughing, call his/her doctor right away
  6. Minimize unnecessary outings with the client, avoid taking clients to crowded places, hospitals, if possible, reschedule unimportant doctor’s appointment.
  7. If you are completely out of the hand sanitizers to be used for a client’s purpose at home, please contact the agency for the supply.
