Our History

Our History

When we first started Quality One Care, our goal was to provide home care to all residents to the state of Maryland – pediatrics and adult. However, our long term goal was to specialize in pediatric care. It took us three years to obtain our residential service agency license. The main challenge we had at the moment was hiring the right staff and funding. In order to achieve our goals and still stay close to our goals,
while waiting to receive our Medicaid License, QOC started subcontracting to other private home health care companies, which allowed us to operate on a smaller scale with lower overhead costs, whilst still managing to serve with premium quality. At the point when we acquired our Medicaid license, we had managed to grow our staff to 20 members, including, RNs and LPNs.

We are proud to say that since we acquired our Medicaid license, we have expanded not only our staff but also our services. When we started in 2007, we were offering 2 main services – private duty and home health aid. As a result of our Medicaid license acquisition in 2010, we were able to expand our services to include skilled nursing visits, home infusion and rehabilitative services. Currently, our home health company, QOC, is now home to over 35 patients, 80 employees that includes RN, LPNs, HHAs and therapists. Our administrative and management team consists of 6 people, including the Owner and CEO, a director of nursing, 3 nursing supervisor and a business manager. Our board of directors is currently sitting five highly qualified and respected community members.

With our experience and current track record, we have high projections for the company and this has led us to this next journey to apply for a Certificate of Need for our newly formed branch, Quality Care Nursing, set to operate in the District of Columbia. Our goal with QCN is to focus on offering niche services to the pediatric home health sector. We believe that with our already established connections
and partnerships with highly reputable organizations such as the Children’s National Medical Center and
the HSC pediatric center, we will be able to bring a balanced set of services and experience to the table.
